INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

 

 

 

Scope and policy

 

  • The periodical Análise Psicológica publishes articles and investigation, revised or theoretical discussion notes, under the domains of Psychology and of other social, human and behavioural sciences.

 

  • The articles received are subject to the approval of the Editorial Council. The Periodical does not take responsibility for the turning back of the non solicited articles. Authors are fully responsible for the essence of the articles.

 

 

Form and preparation of manuscripts

 

Originals shall be typewrited and double-spaced with large margins, in white normalised sheets (size A4), properly numbered. The articles, that shall not exceed 30 pages, must be addressed in threefold, followed by MS WINWORD within a floppy disk and as *.RTF file. The front page shall only contain the title of the article, the name of the author or authors and their professional addresses. Investigation and didactic notes follow the same model as the articles. However, they shall not exceed 6 pages.

 

Articles must be followed by summaries, both in Portuguese and English, that shall nor exceed 200 words. Authors must also point out between 3 to 5 keywords in order to make easier the indexation of the article.

 

Footnotes shall be avoided. It should also be avoided the use of italic. Nevertheless, words where that format is essential, they must be underlined in the original work.

 

Graphics and pictures shall only be used if they highly contribute to clarify or to shorten the text. They must be presented in separate sheets, properly numbered, and followed by short legends. Their place within the text must be clearly indicated. Pictures must have a high graphic quality, in order to allow their reproduction, or their eventual reduction, without losing its clearness.

 

References within the text to others must be indicated as followed: Robinson (1978); (Guilly & Piolat, 1986); (Bronckart, Papandropoulou & Kicher, 1976) or (Bronckart et al., 1976).

 

At the end of the article it shall be listed, in alphabetical order, the bibliographic references (only those which are mentioned in the text), obeying the following models:

McCloy, R. A. (1990). A New Model of Job Performance: An Integration of Measurement, Prediction, and Theory. Unpublished doctoral dissertation, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

 

The typographical proofs can be revised by the authors, that cannot at any time add or change the original text. The revised proofs shall be addressed 8 days after, maximum.

 

It will be offered 30 items of each published article to the first author.

 

Articles and notes to be published, as well as advertisements about scientific meetings or other relevant happenings for Psychology, and other works for critical examination, shall be addressed to:
